Radiator Chair by Jeroen Wesselink

Is it a chair, or a radiator, or both?

Those who have leaned against a radiator for warmth would be happy to learn of a far more comfortable solution. Dutch designer JeroeThe Radiator Chair n Wesselink created this bold furniture piece, The Radiator Chair.

Shaped like the letter Z, is a practical piece as a heating and sitting source. A comfortable backrest supports the top part of the chair, and is mirrored by a considering similar comfort for the feet. Wesselink painted it in a bold yellow, a hue that perfectly reflects its warming capabilities.

The design is inspired by the idea presented in Gerrit Rietveld’s Zig Zag Chair. (via Freshome)
