Kitchen Island is Modern Sculpture in Cement

This modern, industrial kitchen island has such style, such design, such simplicity. We love it. There’s a sense of sculptural motion – something you don’t often find with your kitchen counter!

It’s the product of a high-design renovation of the Kessel-Lo house in Belgium, by NU Architectuuratelier. This kitchen really caught our eye. The island counter would be perfect in a loft, or even a country farmhouse — practically anywhere you have the room to extend your kitchen workspace. We can imagine a long bar done in this style, too. As simplistic as it is, and as raw as it is — it is also complete. That’s what got our attention – the paradoxes. Between art and living, between being and becoming. Plus, it just looks great, don’t you think?
